| Newsletter (abridged version)
Jul 27, 2007 | | | Hi Everyone--I plan to post the whole newsletter in PDF in the next day or so, but I'm also posting excerpts of it here for the non-newsletter folks.
THE GENCON CHALLENGE
Thanks to the generous assistance of the folks at Cheese Weasel Logistics, Spielerz exposure at GenCon will vastly surpass our presence at Origins (which basically consisted of wearing our t-shirts and starting conversations). We are co-hosting the Con-Quest daily game with the Spewgilist.com folks and we'll be in the side quest booth for a couple of hours each day so if you are going to GenCon be sure to look us up.
What does this have to do with you? We went to Origins with 10 members. Our goal is to go into GenCon with 500. This means we need 17 sign-ups a day between now and August 15th. I know it's possible—we've had days with over 30 signs-ups already—but it will only happen with your help.
So what can you do? I'm so glad you asked!
GET THE WORD OUT
The single most important thing we can do to increase membership is let gamers know about the site. We'll continue to build partnerships and make connections on our end, but we will also need you.

I've just created a new companion page for Spielerz.com over at Squidoo. The address is http://www.squidoo.com/localgamers/. In addition to information about Spielerz, it's got links to some great sites, and questions about gamers and game communities that we'd love input on. So go check it out and as always, tell your friends!
A BLOG NEAR YOU
If you have a blog, a website or a megaphone of any kind, let people know that you belong to Spielerz and how they can join. Then send them to the website, or the Squidoo lens and let's see what happens.
